Many Saints of Newark wasn't that bad

The Many Saints of Newark was a great film, as long as you’re willing to suspend reality for a little bit. It plays fast and loose with history, both real and fictional, but if you can roll with it, there’s a lot to enjoy.

Take Silvio Dante’s hairpiece, for example. We all knew he wore a wig in The Sopranos, but seeing young Sil awkwardly adjust that thing throughout the movie was both hilarious and oddly endearing. And then there’s the backdrop—the Newark riots of 1967.

Four years removed from this film and I can finally appreciate it
