Looking for (not romance) books with strong female lead characters, genre not too important, (I listen to a wide variety of things) that are written by female authors.

Hey everybody I'm just looking for books with strong female characters, I really like historical books that are not romances that the female protagonists really are adventurous. Bonus if it's written by female authors.
